We have hit our initial field cap of 30. We are hoping to confirm enough staff to expand shortly and would love to get to 36; until then teams will go on the waitlist. Keep those registrations coming!

Re: 2019 IQBT NASAT - 6/22 and 6/23, Lexington, KY

Then it should've been phrased differently to avoid indicating an exhaustive list. I would like to apologize for the wording of my original post. I was not intending to make an exhaustive list of the “good” staffers at NASAT, but rather just listed moderators who I was able to recognize and did a g...

Re: 2019 IQBT NASAT - 6/22 and 6/23, Lexington, KY

As someone who will almost certainly be attending NASAT as a player, I can’t say I’m pleased with the decision of IQBT to choose Lexington over Champaign. First off, it’s just veritably false that UIUC would have a smaller local staffing pool than Lexington. The population of quizbowlers around Cham...

Re: Johns Hopkins Fall Quizbowl Tournament (NAQT-177X) - 10/13/18

Can we get some clarification on the set? IS-177 is a regular difficulty set, not a introductory level set like advertised. Is this a mistake or is this tournament truly using an introductory level set?

Re: NY/NJ/CT/PA/DE Discussion '18-19

Just a note when ranking teams here- State College A will most likely be the B team from last years HSNCT led by Albert, while B will be what is left of the A team from last year. These things could change but from what has been communicated State College has no real intention to try and shuffle aro...

Could you post the conversion stats for the Black Panther Party tossup (sometime in lateish playoffs) as well as the bonus that had the Socialist Workers Party as a third part (round 13 iirc). Could you also post the stats for the most powered and the least powered tossups as well as most 30d and mo...

Re: NASAT Online Mirror 1 (7/14 to 7/15)

More worryingly, what's going to happen if Connor Mayers can only staff on Saturday as the sheet indicates, and Matt's the only one staffing on Sunday? I was not able to secure transportation to Penn's NASAT mirror on the 15th, so thankfully I am now available to staff both days. I have updated the...

Re: NY/NJ/CT/PA/DE Discussion '18-19

After a great season for PA quiz bowl, it sadly graduated A LOT of talent. Not only are superstars like Alex and Vishwa, but a ton of super good players behind them graduate as well. Most of the players in PA’s top 10 are graduating, but some teams keep some scoring and others have good programs to ...

HSNCT: Alagar Homeschool: The Alagars maintain an entire squad that made playoffs last year...

I'm very guilty of of telling a teammate "oh that's what I thought it was" or "I should have gotten that earlier" after they answer a tossup.

Personally I think it's a good idea if you have enough resources. Just means more teams get to play later on in the tournament. I think that's fantastic.
