Re: Purdue Housewrite (Medium Difficulty) [Gauging Interest]
Thanks for the response. It does sound like spring 2022 is full already with 2/3 dot tournaments, so at the very least, we probably want to avoid that. If there's nothing else planned for fall 2021, then the Duke set + ACF Winter + Purdue Housewrite might work. I don't know of any 1 dot tournaments ...

Purdue Housewrite (Medium Difficulty) [Gauging Interest]
Would there interest and room for a medium difficulty tournament in fall 2021 or spring 2022? The set would mostly be written by current and former members of the Purdue quiz bowl team. It would likely be around the difficulty of SMH or LIT, but we would be open to changing that to accommodate what ...

Head Editor for SUN 2021?
I enjoyed SUN 2020 a lot, and would like to see it continue in 2021. Harris said he wasn't interested in head editing it again, but would be willing to let SUN continue under a different head editor. Would anyone be interested in doing so? I'd be joining as a writer, and I can help with some other m...

Re: 2020 Division II SCT: specific question discussion
Better to just say "this element". Or if you really wanna obscure the answerline, say "this particle" or something like that. Also, iirc, the very first line of the machine learning tossup said "the goal of this field is to build linear classifiers" or something like th...

So now that I can a run date established and know there's at least some interest, I'll go ahead and official announcement my mini-event "64-bit Soundbyte". This was originally meant to be run at the Purdue Side Event, but that got killed off, so it's now being run at the Illinois Side Even...

64-bit Soundbyte - Gaming/Music Mini-Event (Gauging Interest)
Hello all, For the Purdue Side Event weekend, I'm thinking about writing a mini-event entirely focused on video games and music (with some contributions from the Purdue Quiz Bowl team). I'm thinking about maybe having 5-6 packets of 16 ACRONYM/NAQT length tossups, with difficulty ranging from half-s...
