Re: Please Critique These Questions

Most seasoned trash players would have nailed these on the first or second clue. I would've taken Catfish Hunter on the first clue, but that's because I know the movie. It's still a decent opening clue. The 76ers question probably would have gone the fastest. Andrew Toney spent his entire pro career...

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa......

For the record, such as it is: 1) Matt Weiner is not a racist. In the numerous conversations I have held with others outside of this forum (Fred included), I have said just that. I was extremely angry when I wrote that post and was unable to stop what I was saying. It's not an excuse, it just...

For those who may take issue with the name listed above, I would like to correct it. It should be *Pasty* White Skolniks. I would like to take this time to formally apologize to Patsy, whomever she may be.
What I don't think is acceptable is that in a post in which you bizarrely accuse Matt and others of somehow discriminating against HBCUs (which must be the most out-of-left-field thing anyone has posted in this thread), you also use what seems to me to be a synonym for "Jew." Maybe ...
Oh no, a bunch of trash players who can't tell a good question from a hole in the ground didn't like a good question set that I worked on and would rather play the crap you produce so they can buzz on "quanta" halfway through a biography question on Max Planc...

Re: TRASHionals Undergrads and other musings

I'm fairly certain Craig wasn't on the original Keenan team at TRASHionals I because he was at CBI NCT. Back in those days the two events were the same weekend; I missed one TRASHionals due to being at CBI NCT in 1999. But the general point sta...
It's worthwhile to note that the same team has won 5 of the 10 TRASHionals ever held, and has come in second at least one other time, possibly more. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is related to the fact that TRASH caters to this particular subset of its player base.
.... Or it...

Re: Berry College results
Congrats to Central Gwinnett which I am sure is a good team, but just to keep things in perspective, the Berry College Tournament is essentially a closed and unadvertised tournament, allowing only the usual small number of suspects in the field each year.
It's no...

Trash Regionals Southeast

In case anyone still cares, here's the link for complete stats for TRASH SE Regionals at GPC Clarkston. http://www.gpc.edu/~gpcqbt/trash06standings.htm  And yes, I did play there. My tag-team partner and I finished second to the unholy UGA/Florida alliance (Franklin, Zahnen, etc.) and hopefull...

Southeastern....

The Southeastern isn't typically held until late October/Early November. I believe that Wade felt he had a chance to attract more teams if they moved it to an earlier date.
