[10] What specific condition can be diagnosed by an EKG with the following features? [Read slowly, pausing between the commas] A secondary R wave in lead V1, a slurred S wave in leads V1 and V6, and a broad QRS complex that looks like an M in V1 and a W in V6? Not only did neither of your buzzer sets work, but just the previous weekend, NAQT had labeled one of them as missing a power cord. I can confirm that the ACF website photo was taken prior to a Michigan-Rochester match at 2005 ACF nationals--I believe I took the photo, in fact. In any event, it was taken before a match I read in the big auditorium at Northwestern. Actually, I took the photo. This is the original: http://web.sta...

Yeah, I'd like to apologize again for writing on something like retention sequences; it was the sort of thing where I read about them and thought they were cool, and I agree that lupus was a far superior answer choice. I guess I was biased because several of these subjects came up in Lodish or whatever the genetics textbook we use is (Watson?) and others were covered in a very low level course (many people take it for "Science A" core credit) that I took last year. I know that it's amateurish to assume ...

The biology is very hard. Most tossups I would not have included in ACF Nationals except in playoff rounds, if at all. Competition between rivals is also a great way to procure funding.
