Georgetown had a great time at our first tournament, especially for having just started a few days ago. Thanks to all from UMD and anyone else who was involved.

That was obviously Chris's reason for getting in touch with me. To make sure that Titicaca came. Titicaca being Dan Puma.

Right now it is Kevin Leahy plus whover Kevin Leahy manages to drag along and/or abduct from a back alley, supplemented possibly by anyone who has a proficient showing when I play intoxicated bar trivia at The Tombs tonight. EDIT: Hey, if you have his email, I bet Kevin would like to have Andrew's ...

Wish I could have submitted my poll but I was in Ireland. Overall the polls are fine. Besides 2 or 3. The top 10 for everyone were all pretty consistent.

I'd like to thank everyone for the pretty much positive feedback. I thought the tournament ran fairly smoothly despite the breaks between games, but it was definitely an improvement from last year still. Pertaining to the questions, I believe that the layout of the questions was basically the same r...

So we're basically half-way through the 2007-2008 season. What does everybody think, having seen what the teams have to offer, of the DC metro area now in contrast to what they thought before the start of the season? I personally think, as I did before, that Like most prognostications so far for the...

Well i'd say that in most cases the whole title would definitely be needed, such as for elegy written in a country churchyard and ode on a distant prospect of eton college cuz they're significant. If you hadn't noticed from the web page before the tournament, you probably realized now that this tournament had math questions, but no computation questions. How did people like this change? I recommend you come with evidence before making statements like that. I was in the room for the finals, and I'd like to know what you're suggesting. Yeah, in accordance with i guess everyone else that's posted, the questions were poor, to say the least. Specifically starting almost every question off with the subject's birthday...yeah that's not a good idea for any true attempt at pyramidal questions. Nor is writing questions on literary works o...

I disagree with Keshav and Naren about the music and art distribution; I don't think that any given round had more than 2/2 Fine Arts, which is precisely where it should be...but I agree that both science and world history were underrepresented. Yeah this was a really well run tournament and really fast-running too, which was great. Like Daichi said the questions were good in that they were able to squeeze a little pyramidality in there. a couple of the team rounds may have been slightly unbalanced, but that seemed like only a minor issue. ...

I agree with the others in saying that the tournament was indeed very well run, fairly well moderated (we had one moderator who wasn't above average), and very well emulated the TV show, which was the goal. My only complaint is about the card system. I understand how it works well for lots of teams,...

Gonzaga will be up there too, no doubt. But, we will need to see how they handle Ted's departure. Exactly and I believe our future this year is dependent on that. Currently that idea is not looking very good because our main player, Dan Puma, decided that this year would be the right year to start ...
