Re: Interest in second video games tournament?

I only got to play one round of this at MO, before the plug was pulled. After that one round, I weeped, for I had, for the briefest of moments, touched all creation, and knew that the rest of my existence would forever be judged in terms of that moment. Don't believe me? Matt Lafer was there-- and T...

Re: SCT 2009 discussion

While I agree with most of the above with regards to talking between questions, I would be very surprised if interrupting bonus parts went without consequences over an entire tournament. I used this strategy quite a bit during the day with good results in terms of extra tossups heard, but we did wi...

Re: Penn Bowl Discussion

When you say the permeability of free space one was "a bad idea", I can only assume you mean it was guessable as soon as it starts talking about magnetic fields. I am inclined to agree, but it still requires some knowledge of formulas that don't come up in the classroom setting (or at lea...

Re: Minnesota Open discussion

Hey, so addressed to Gautam: The science was, overall, good. It's hard to write science well, but you've managed to write good tossups on the higher-level canon. A couple of grievances-- The sifting property in the Dirac Delta tossup came way too early, and there's no way it should be in power. I'd ...

I searched for "Sterne" and I got a 2007 Penn Bowl tossup (which does mention him) but then I also get a 2007 ACF Nats bonus on Lang Xang...

I have "both" on for both tossup-bonus and answer text/question text. I'm searching in 2007.

The true implication of NAQT's anti-semitism is that NAQT is anti-ACF. As everyone knows, ACF is actually a horde of Jewishes. Of the current full members of ACF, 4/6 are Jewishes. Additionally, ACF Nationals has in the past been held on Easter weekend, an action only Jews could perpetrate. Example...
