As of 8/28/12, Illinois, Yale, Minnesota, Rice, Claremont, Buffalo, Maryland, Stanford, and Chipola have secured mirrors of IFT.

We have not finalized a Northwest site, a Missouri site, a Southeast site, or a UK site.

We changed the date to accommodate more teams for our college tournament on 10/13, Illinois Fall.
This decision is best for our club and the combined quality of both fields.

Well, in theory, you get the satisfaction of a fantastic buzz from... the fantastic buzz. Really, the advantage of ten-point powers (over not having powers at all) is in providing more data to those interested in quizbowl prognostication.
