Please note that the start time for this tournament has been moved forward to 9:30am (teams should still aim to arrive around 9am for registration and setup); we will be gathering in the second floor atrium of the McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC) by room 203.

McMaster will be sending 1 team and 1 set of buzzers.

Yes, sorry - the Canadian quizbowl situation in March is a little bit chaotic. We've gotten permission to host our mirror the third weekend of March (Sat. Mar. 21); we'll be putting up an announcement soon.

In order to better accommodate teams from distant lands, Oxford Open North America will be hosted by the University of Waterloo on Sun. Jan. 25, 2015 (the weekend of ACF Regionals). Stay tuned for their official announcement.

It would save a lot of time and money for us far away schools to have this on ACF regionals Sunday. We're not currently aware of which school will be hosting ACF Regionals, but if it's someone in the area, we'll definitely take that into account and look into organizing a double-tournament weekend....

The tournament will hopefully be starting shortly after 9:30am, though we encourage teams to aim to arrive earlier (preferably ~9am) so that everyone can get organized.

Not Jay, but one of the Mac Quizbowl presidents - we'll be sending at least two teams, possibly three (should be able to tell you by Thurs.), and will be bringing a set of buzzers.

Ah well, I guess they were just refreshing and coming back in then. They claimed to be blocking their IP address, but I suppose it didn't make a difference either way.

I'm not sure if there's anything you can do about it, but people are able to repeatedly circumvent the banning mechanism by masking their IP address. It can get somewhat problematic.
