So in an attempt to gather some productive suggestions going forward, how can a team of writers produce a set of questions written at this level without resorting to this "vanity of selection," while simultaneously avoiding transparency and pyramidality issues? Any suggestions would be ap...

Re: NAQT's Post-ICT Survey

What were the teams' complaints? Just that losing the entire game because they were, say, ten minutes late is a penalty that is incommensurate with the offense? Yeah the feeling was for minor tardiness they were deprived of an entire game. And theoretically they wanted the chance to mount a comeback.

Re: NAQT's Post-ICT Survey

As a moderator, I met some teams (not usually represented here) that had concerns about the current wording of the forefiet rule. Their train of thought: Would you prefer that in a situation where a team fails to arrive within five minutes of a stated game time that the first half begin at that time...

This more a combination of shame.

At the 2002 SCT I answered in separate rounds (I forget if they were back-to-back or not) on Battlefield Earth and Judge Dred.

No shame, only points.

Also, this model adequately compensates for empty chairs - their "individual rating factor" is assumed to be zero since they contribute nothing (a zero-rated player is still better than an empty chair). I'll play devil's advocate here. Empty chair doesn't incur negs / penalties / blurt ou...

Gauging Interest in Chicago Open History Singles
