Re: The Barbarism of Monetization

Is there a reason that it took so long for an update? Specifically, Eric asked for updates on June 29th and August 20th, and Finn asked for an update on September 9th. I realize NAQT just announced the decision today, but was there a reason they did not respond to the aforementioned posts and let th...

Re: Announcing QuizDB: "Knowledge is Power"

A few QuizDB items. 1. Some tournaments (specifically 2016 and 2017 ACF Nationals) have numerous questions with messed up characters. Various combinations including the letter f (fi, ft, ff) did that when they were entered on quinterest. 2. These tournaments are on quinterest and not QuizDB. The pla...

I was not at the tournament and do not have the question set so I do not have anything to add about points 1 and 2. I agree with point 4. Re: The evolution of MSNCT

I agree that Aptakisic had an impressive tournament. They deserve credit for coming back and beating Mounds Park after Mounds Park had gotten 19 of the past 28 tossups against them. I thought the comment about Barrington attending SSNCT was sarcastic, but I suppose I should have taken it literally. ...

I agree with Dr. Prince that there is a lack of resources for coaches, and that quiz bowl can do better to alleviate that. A few thoughts on this this topic. My favorite part of Chris' coaching blog post is the part about making no excuses.
