We're going to try to convince our coach to sign up for a wild-card spot. My only question at the moment: is boarding provided, or do we have to find a hotel?

Wikipedia says that the general form of a linear equation is Ax + By + C = 0, and I've seen it like that in most of my math textbooks. However, it's really just being unnecessarily nit-picky if you reject an answer in Ax + By = C form.

No respect!

To quote Rodney Dangerfield, "We don't get no respect." We beat Naperville North, Fenwick, and Deerfield by over 100 points each, and we defeated Latin. We're definitely not #1, or even in the top 5, but we feel like we're being ignored.

I enjoyed the question set a lot, but I do have a few reservations about the packet: 1) Some of the questions were extremely similar to the ones we had at DVC earlier this week (for example, the court cases bonus with Engels v Vitale) 2) Bonuses from one round would show up as similar bonuses in the...

Problem starting to emerge...

I think Paltalk has installed adware on my computer. I believe it installed Winsoftware.WinAntiVirusPro2006 and CasaleMedia adware, and it might be responsible for installing spyware called Spabot. Also, when I googled "Paltalk spyware", this came up. In other words, it's a very good idea to downloa...

Well, it was either that or November 11th, and it looked like every place had a competition that day. What is the Loyola Ultima?

I'm usually not one to resurrect dead topics, but I figured that I could kill two birds with one stone. 1) The bot has gone through a few changes, and it now uses regular expressions for answers and it is pretty stable. Someday soon I will release the source code so people can find bugs/modify it. R...

a SS, Sci, and Lit guy, Don't forget Math! I'd argue that a math specialist consistently gets more questions right in his/her subject area than any other specialist. I've rarely seen an obscure math question, especially when compared to the obscure lit and science questions I've seen. A Fantasy Lea...

Thanks for the questions! It will help out a lot. As for the tournament: it all depends on if we have enough questions by the end of the summer. Scholastic Bowl bot

Hello! I have recently created a Scholastic Bowl bot for IRC, but before I can release it, it needs more testing and more questions. The testing should be fine, but the questions are a big problem. Right now, the bot only has around 60 questions, all from our school's Student-Faculty games. The bot ...
