If both teams forfeit the game we use to decide who wins the tournament, then I'm not sure either team deserves to win the tournament. My understanding of the Missouri circuit is that, at least in the last couple years, tournaments held at the University of Missouri do not draw well for a variety of factors. If UG and D2 titles weren't important there would be no point in having them in the first place. My understanding is that these titles exist to give less experienced players time in quizbowl so they can adjust to how hard it is to actually win things, and allow new teams to have more reasonable path...

Players can no longer extend Undergraduate eligibility by taking time off from college or quizbowl. Purdue and Notre Dame have active teams. You're in a pretty good location with several active teams in all of Indiana's neighboring states as well.
