Toronto Hybrid Mirror in Orlando - June 25
Hello All, Based on the success of the Ottawa Hybrid mirror Virginia Ruiz ran in Orlando last summer, popular demand dictates that a summer 2016 hybrid event in Orlando should happen. This year, we're planning to run a mirror of the Toronto Hybrid . Date and location TBD --- but my initial probing o...

I'm also hopeful that we'll be able to work out a way to use interpuncts for certain science words. If anyone has ideas about how this would look (i.e. whether interpuncts should be in the primary text, if there should be a second version of the word with interpuncts rendered in brackets, etc.), we...

Just to chip in my two-cents on the Zimmerman question: at our site (in Orlando), we played the Div II set, where a slightly watered-down version of the Zimmerman question made an appearance. Final stats to be posted soon, but a quick recap: We ended up having 8 teams play (UF D was a last-minute drop, but no tears were shed since it gave us a much more pleasant 8-team schedule in the end). One criterion I've tried to apply when question writing is not as much a line count, but a word count. A reasonably clue-dense, pyramidal ACF-style TU can often be achieved as 150 +/-15 words, IMO. EDIT: Looking at the examples Cody gave on the "cathedrals" TU, it looks like these are clos...
