FYI local players: the O-Train is not running this weekend. The 107 bus will go to all the train stops, but it is slower. Plan accordingly (from Bayview: leaves 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 & takes 15 minutes; from South Keys: leaves 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 & takes 12 minutes).

Based on inquiries from today's first local tournament, I've updated the field in the second post. We do have a limit of 12 teams. If this limit is reached, we will try to make sure that every school that wants to register can have at least one team. This may mean a restriction of 3 teams per school...

The final standings in the top bracket was: Bell (8-0), Merivale A & B (both 6-2), and Glebe (5-3). I'm uncertain about the rest, but bracket 2 was Earl, the new LDHSS team, and 2 Colonel Bys; third bracket was Lisgar and Colonel Bys, then 2 other LDHSS teams.

There are no scheduled high school tournaments in southwest Ontario this year. Waterloo had to cancel the novice tournament when only one school was willing to go and another had a conflict. A separate concern, but related to comments upthread:

A teacher strike in Ontario is unlikely. A portion of the OSSTF strike fund was transferred to the BC union over the summer to help sustain the BC teacher strike (which itself is probably ending today).
