Re: Minnesota '09-'10

Quick SnowCAT results for the curious:

1. St. Thomas
2. DLS A
3. EP A
4. Blake A

Pretty solid showing from a lot of teams, although it's too bad Minnetonka decided they couldn't make it.

I guess Greg's question no longer applies, but I would like to point out that Carleton College is hosting a site of ACF Regionals, which would be closer than 8.5 hours for Appleton and some other places. I can be contacted at [email protected] for anyone interested in attending.

ACF Regionals at Carleton College (2/20)

Carleton College will be hosting a site of the 2010 ACF Regionals. This tournament will take place on Saturday, February 20th, 2010. As is the usual with ACF tournaments, any team with a player who played collegiate quizbowl before September 1, 2008, must write a packet to play this tournament. More...

Re: THUNDER at Carleton College (10/24/09)

This tournament happened, with a crazy draft to start it off. Team captains were Brendan, Andrew, Rob, and Frank/Andreas, who switched off each round playing and reading. After a quadruple round robin, Rob and Brendan's teams were tied, so a one game playoff gave the championship to Brendan's team. ...

These would seem to be prelim stats. I am not responsible for any of the content of the stats, but Mac sent the SQBS file around and I needed a reason to procrastinate. I have no idea if playoff stats exist or will exist. Thanks to Macalester for getting this finished, though.

I think the final score of the second final is wrong. Trevor had a score ending in 5 and needed to get one bonus part to beat us, so I think the final score was something like 280-305 (although I'm basing this only off of recollection and not a stat sheet. I'll ask Frank about it if need be).

I don't have the stats sheets, but I'll try to figure out what's up with the missing game. As for the "final", Iowa and Minnesota agreed to simply have their last game be the final instead of playing and then having an advantaged final. Minnesota won, which should be in the playoff stats.
