Re: Reverse Powering: An exercise in Game Theory?

I don't really see how turning quizbowl into a game of academic chicken allows for more "tactics".

I just went on QBDB on Chrome and searched something and it worked for me.

Re: Georgia 2013-14

Just saw that Georgia has four Rising Stars, with two Sophomore and Freshman Rising Stars each. Very good news for GA teams. I've added a bit to the original post to reflect some new info I got from this. EDIT: Also, Fred's postseason rankings has only Jason and Elyse graduating? I don't know how he...

Any popular online activity will catch a few idiots The problem apparently seems to go beyond just "a few idiots", though. Also, I hope the freshmen you mention don't use ProtoBowl as their primary "studying" tool. I've had a few teammates who have "studied" with Proto...

Georgia 2013-14

Guess it's time to make this thread, seeing that there's only NSC and NASAT left to go. Teams to watch: Chattahoochee - Our T-50th place finish at HSNCT was, to put it simply, extremely disappointing. There are various things I could bring up to explain why we performed so poorly but there's no use ...

Re: 2013 HSNCT discussion

I don't know if anybody will crunch the numbers at any point, but it certainly is possible that Chattahoochee A played the toughest schedule of any 6-4 team. In large part, this is due to the fact that they got their wins early. It's great to be 6-1, but it means that you're going to play another 6...

I didn't like how Doubting Castle was in the first line for the Pilgrim's Progress TU. That clue pretty much screamed, "This is an allegory!"

Re: General Discussion

I enjoyed this set when I played it yesterday. My only gripe is that some of the hard parts of some bonuses seemed a bit too easy (though it could easily just be familiarity with whatever was being asked). Otherwise, I thought that it was pretty well-written.
