Re: 2011 HSNCT discussion

I can't believe at a national championship that NAQT has not banned pseudonyms (much less rotating pseudonyms) when it is so important to people to have accurate All-Star information. Just in case everyone here is not already aware, NSC does explicitly ban them. Learned this while brushing up on ru...

Re: 2011 HSNCT discussion

You may not think what you are doing is questioning the legitimacy of a title by throwing out a casual post questioning a key timing decision that affected the outcome of the match, but that's basically the logical implication of that post, and it's worse because it's not actually grounded in facts...

I see no way you can be certain, making this whole derail of the discussion of a quality national championship in a quality academic competition asinine. You do realize the rule is "An answer to a tossup must begin within 2 seconds after the player has been recognized," don't you? It's not 2 seconds after a player buzzes in, it's 2 seconds after Hentzel makes eye contact or something similar with the player who buzzed in (definition of rec...

Some State College statistics since I hear Julie Gittings is retiring as coach after this season: since they first attended the HSNCT in 2000, SC has placed in the top 8 every year except 2002 (nine in a row, now), including top-3 finishes in six of the last seven. Re: HSNCT Match Tracker

Harry's Sunday brackets worked pretty much perfectly. It was set up really well, and NAQT allowed me to just hang out in the stat room feeding scores all morning.
