I just wanted to say that I had a great time playing solo at this tournament. It was efficiently run and the questions, as all HSAPQ questions, were superb. The set did seem a little harder than 15 though, but that may just be me.

As for the tournament being moved, I suppose that's up to Paul, but is there an actual reason beyond one dude on GDS wanting it to be on May 22? VCU is also hosting a tournament on May 21. In case it matters, both TJ A and B were undermanned at Mid-Atlantic Championship. TJ A was missing Diana from its traditional lineup, while TJ B was a two man team missing both of its best NAQT players from its traditional lineup and one player working on 1.5hrs of sleep.

For what it's worth, TJ B was missing it's best NAQT player at VA States today and was essentially a three man TJ C at VCU Spring.

Perhaps after the impact of snow on last year's tournament schedule, those wild and crazy kids running those tournaments chose to go ahead and stick their tournaments on the dates where there was less chance of a sudden cancellation? Astronomy: From the Earth to the Universe is great for Astronomy although it's not cheap new.
The AMSCO for U.S. History is great for picking up U.S. History knowledge.
