How much money do you estimate this organization would need to hold at any one time? Off the top of my head, I'd estimate that a typical non-ACF-or-NAQT college tournament would generate at most around $3000 in mirror fees, and with at most 5-6 such tournaments existing in any given 3-month window,...

The Nepal bonus in round 2 did not tell the moderator to not reveal the full answer to the first part, so the second part was rather easy. Most of the econ was fine. The TU on M Friedman was not very great - the part about maximizing shareholder value, which I think was in the second sentence, is really real-world famous.

Additionally, I do think that ACF and quizbowl in general could do more to accommodate one-man teams, financially. A lot of the discounts for short-handed teams are geared towards newer, less experienced teams, and more experienced players who find themselves on one-man teams can feel a lot less we...
