Are the bonus conversion stats right? I know bonus conversion was low all day, but these seem especially low. Some artifact of trying to shoehorn the format into SQBS?

Due to a software error during the final match between Guilford A and Enloe A, the match had to be scored by hand. The winner was Guilford A. I'll let the tournament officials post the standings and stats. Final match was Early College of Guilford A over RCHS A 460-120. Enloe and NCSSM were the other semifinalists.

OMG this is old. Not that Brain Game is a great example of quizbowl, but it's changed a bunch. Much more recent shows are here.

I changed the calendar to reflect an error I made. The state tournament is on 4/16, and will be held at NC A&T in Greensboro. The 3/26 date is district qualifying for the state tournament. Winners here advance to state. These will be held locally.

I expect there will be strong overlap between Twelve and quiz bowl; The Quill is a writing and communications event.

To those of you who are wondering where NCATA is in all this, expect a note from me this week showing how we relate. Don't worry about the nature of quiz bowl in NC changing.

The prelims and playoffs were round robin. In the second playoff match of 3 (top 4 teams) Cave Spring had come back to be 20 behind with one TU left. They got TU 20, but unfortunately then zeroed the bonus to save RCHS A.

Also, registration is ongoing for NCOAST, on March 13 at Guilford College. This is the state tournament, and it is an open tournament, so there are no qualifying events. Just come and play.
