Re: Tennessee '13-'14

At the state level, Farragut should romp through the state next year with the 1-2 punch of Kai and Daniel plus whomever else steps up in the 3rd and 4th slots. Ezell will fall off (though I suspect they'll be rebuilding) after a dream season this year (the best season a TN team has had since the ol...

Re: 2014 PACE NSC Questions Discussion

Opinion is divided on whether Jude the apostle is the same as Jude, brother of Jesus, who is mentioned in Mark 6:3 and Matthew 13:55-57, and is the traditional author of the Epistle of Jude. Some Catholics believe the two Judes are the same person, while a number of Protestants do not. I'd always h...

This man is the presumed author of a canonical epistle that quotes the noncanonical Book of Enoch and refers to a fight between Satan and Michael over Moses' body. In the Gospel of John, this disciple asks Christ why he doesn't manifest himself to the whole world at the Last Supper. Along with Bart...

Ok, so now that I've had a few days to think the set over, here are my thoughts: I felt like the Christianity tossups were really solid, with interesting new answerlines such as David's Mighty Men and Job's friends. They were also very first line gettable which was nice, as lots of past Christianity...

Ithaca did not play NHBB this year (except for Casey Wetherbee playing solo JV at the Scranton regional, where he lost 6-5 in the Bee final to national Bee finalist Alex Schmidt) because more than one of their key players had conflicts with the dates of every NHBB regional in the area. I would like to see double elimination playoffs as well, although I'm not sure what the feasibility of it would be since History Bowl also has History Bee, meaning a lot more prelim rounds have to be played. Definitely not just based on PPG since we are tied for the highest PPG listed on the page in JV and we played on A set, yet we're ranked ninth. I assume its adjusted for field strength because we haven't played any really strong history bowl teams in the past year, which is probably why we're ranked...

Unfortunately I will not be going to HSNCT since I'm already going to History Bowl Nationals and PACE, and three national tournaments is pretty costly for a player who is honestly not that good. I know that our school does have a team signed up though so there will be people from Farragut going.
