Re: Fake ICT 2 Mirror at UIUC - March 21st

I also think doing a 12 team round robin, followed by 3 brackets of 2, then finals, would be a great format for 12 teams. Alternately, you could do a 12 team round robin, followed by 2 brackets of 6, then finals. That would mean there wouldn't be any extra packets for playing off tiebreakers, or if ...

Obviously not having the packets done on time is not ideal, but things happen, and it's not a big deal at all. Stuff like this has happened before, and it will happen again, and far worse things can happen. Jonathan and Eric are highly regarded writers and editors, so I would call this a fluke. I d...

I know people have been criticizing how this tournament was edited, and I wanted to point out that we played both of the finals packets in practice yesterday, and I thought they were excellent and very well written.

Also, I agree with Ryan about this tournament and question difficulty.

After reading the rest of the posts in this thread, and thinking things over, every option/possibility has its positives and negatives. We just have to realize that this is one aspect of quiz bowl that is imperfect.

I agree with what Charlie and Dwight said about this issue. A person could potentially slow up a game by making a bunch of unnecessary an frivolous protests, but I have never seen this. People are usually reasonable about their protests. I know that most of the people on this board believe that PPG ...
