I know you're probably all busy this weekend because of NHBB, but when is this planning to start?

Considering that the finals for OSPL Round 6 has been postponed to sometime this week + the fact that AP Exams start next week, I would assume that Champions League would start around after HSNCT or right before?

OSPL Champions League will begin the week after APs end. Expect 2 games a week the week before HSNCT and the week before NSC, and 1 game in the middle week. Full schedule posted soon. Also, if people would like to recuse themselves and find a permanent substitute, that is fine, but I need to approve them first to make sure that it won't completely skew the teams.

I apologize for the delay in getting this organized. If you haven't before, please add me as a contact on skype (greg.bossick).

The order of play for the CL is as follows:

Round 1: Belgrade v Caracas, Adamstown v Paris, Whitehorse v Frankfurt
Round 2: Adamstown v Whitehorse, Paris v Caracas, Belgrade v Frankfurt
Round 3: Paris v Whitehorse, Belgrade v Adamstown, Caracas v Frankfurt
Round 4: Whitehorse v Caracas, Frankfurt v Adamstown, Paris v Belgrade
Round 5: Frankfurt v Paris, Caracas v Adamstown, Whitehorse v Belgrade

Everything else is as per previous OSPL seasons: after round 5, if there's one team that's two games clear, it wins. One game clear means an advantaged final. Two teams level on record play a single game final. Three teams level on record will play a tiebreaking game then a single game final based on PPG rank.

If there are permanent substitutes to make, clear them through David first.

Does Thursday work this week, or will some of you be in transit to Atlanta? [Is tomorrow too soon?] If we can't get any games in this week, what is your availability for next week?

Let's try for next week, then. How does Wednesday and Thursday look? As far as times, let's look for the usual 8/8:45/9:30 set.

Matchnight 3 lacked in quantity but made up in quality.

Caracas 175-170 Frankfurt: Tom, playing solo, came back from 145-50 down with 4 straight tossups (16 through 19) to lead 170-135 going to the last. Caracas got the tossup and swept the bonus to win.

The other matches will be rescheduled.

Round 4 is mostly done.

Caracas 185-180 Whitehorse, getting the last tossup and 10 on the bonus to win
Adamstown 335-70 Frankfurt

Paris v Belgrade to be rescheduled, probably Friday. Still need to hear back from teams who need to reschedule their Round 3 games...

Round 5 is complete.

Paris 235-40 Frankfurt
Adamstown 280-165 Caracas
Whitehorse 155-55 Belgrade

The standings are as follows with some games left to be rescheduled...

Adamstown 4-0
Paris 2-1
Caracas 3-2
Whitehorse 2-2
Belgrade 1-2
Frankfurt 0-5

Paris needs to makeup against Belgrade and Whitehorse. Adamstown needs to makeup against Belgrade.

If Adamstown wins its match and Paris loses one of its two, then Adamstown clears the field. If each team wins out, then its an Adamstown (advantage) v Paris final.

With ACE coming up, I am hoping to get all of this done by Monday night. Let me know on here, or facebook, or by email what works best and we'll get it done. Thanks!

The final took a while, but it was worth the wait.

Game 1: Paris 255 OT 235 Adamstown

Paris were leading 240-205 going into tu 20; a neg opened the door for Adamstown, but they couldn't get the last part of the bonus, meaning extra tossups were needed for the first time in the competition. Paris got the first two, leaving the third redundant.

Game 2: Adamstown 315-300 Paris

The final tossup decided everything as Paris led 300-295 going into it.
