Ottawa SCOP Novice 8 Mirror [November 18, 2017]

Hi all!

This is the announcement for the Ottawa mirror of the SCOP Novice 8 set on Saturday, November 18th, 2017. As in past years, the tournament will be held at Lisgar Collegiate Institute in Ottawa, and players will meet in the cafeteria. Games will start at 9 am and will end at some point between 2 and 4 pm, depending on numbers.

The tournament will be played on the SCOP Novice 8 set, which is being modified by SCOP to include more Canadian content and less American for this tournament and for the McMaster Novice tournament.

Players are eligible if they meet one of the following criteria:
1. All grade 9 and 10 students are eligible.
2. Grade 11 students are eligible if this is their first or second year in quizbowl.
3. Grade 12 students are eligible if this is their first year in quizbowl.

We will be charging a fee of $10 per player, regardless of how players are sorted into teams.
