Texas Quiz Bowl Alliance will host its ninth annual Texas Invitational Weekend of Quiz Bowl on April 14-15, 2018. The weekend will include a mirror of the NAQT ICT Division II set and the Stevenson Memorial Tournament.
Location: Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston. Registration will close at the end of April 7.

Previous iterations of TI have seen participants from Auburn, Barrington, Hinsdale Central, Loyola, Naperville North and Stevenson (Illinois); Centennial and Chattahoochee (Georgia); Bellarmine (California); Detroit Catholic Central (Michigan); Dorman (South Carolina); Ed Clark (Nevada); Hunter (New York); Northmont (Ohio); Ransom Everglades (Florida); Western Albemarle (Virginia) and Wilmington Charter (Delaware).
Fees: Both events: $450; One Event Only: $250
Food: Saturday lunch and Sunday lunch will be included for all participating teams.

Congratulations to Chattahoochee A, winners of Saturday's Stevenson portion of Texas Invitational. Hooch won a one-game final over Detroit Catholic Central, 300-265.
Both teams went 12-1 in prelims, with DCC winning their first matchup, 330-290, and DCC losing late in the day to Plano West, 320-315.
Katy Taylor finished 10-3 for third place, with Plano West fourth at 9-3-1.
Crystal Springs Uplands was 9-4; Strake Jesuit A and Hoover were 8-5.

Congratulations to Katy Taylor, winners of the ICT-D2 portion of Texas Invitational IX on Sunday. Taylor won the first game of an advantaged final over Plano West, going 10-1 on the day, winning 10 straight after a first-prelim loss.
Runner-up Plano West went 9-3, while third-place DCC and fourth-place LASA went 8-4. The day featured six preliminaries and a double-elimination bracket.
By finishing third Saturday and first Sunday, Taylor won the overall Texas Invitational title.
