Sacramento Spring HS Tournament @ Rio (April 21)

NCQBA and Rio Americano HS are pleased to announce that the Sacramento Spring HS Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Rio Americano HS. This competition features separate Competitive, Standard, and Novice Divisions. We currently have a field cap of 7 teams for Competitive and Novice and a field cap of 8 teams for Standard.

Location: This tournament will take place at Rio Americano HS, 4540 American River Drive, Sacramento, CA, 95864. Registration will begin at 9:00AM and we plan to start round 1 at 9:30AM.

Questions: We will be using NAQT Is-174 for Varsity and NAQT IS-175A for Standard and Novice.

Eligibility: All high schools (public, private, charter, religious, homeschool, etc.) are eligible to play in this event.

Schools are encouraged to enter multiple teams, but please note that participants must play for the same team throughout the tournament.

Fees/Discounts:

Base fee: $70 per team

-$50 per team from new schools (defined as having played zero quiz bowl tournaments during the 2016-2017 school year). Schools that are new to quiz bowl will receive complimentary lunch.

-$10 per working buzzer system (must accommodate at least eight players)

-$30 per staffer

Minimum Entry Fee: $0 per team

Payment (cash or check) will be taken at check-in on April 21.
