The Dunbar Academic Team will be hosting a tournament for middle school (grades 6-8) and high school JV (grades 9-10) teams on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM, the team meeting for the tournament will begin at 8:55 AM, and tournament play will begin at 9:15 AM. (Due to conflicts with another event taking place at PL Dunbar High School on this date, we ask that no teams arrive before 8:30 AM.) Angus Maske will be acting as the tournament director.

The cost for the tournament is $70 per team. Teams may pay on the day of the tournament or may send their payment beforehand to PL Dunbar High School, 1600 Man O’ War Blvd, Lexington, KY 40513. Please make all checks payable to Paul Laurence Dunbar Attn: Academic Team.

Lunch will be available at Dunbar for $5 per person. This will include two slices of pizza, a cookie, and a drink.

We will be using NAQT sets for both divisions, 180A for JV and MS 28 for middle school. House-written worksheets will also be integrated at half-time of each match.

All teams will play five rounds round- robin style in the morning. Based off their morning performance, all teams will be re-bracketed and matched with teams with similar records.
