Event: Itawamba Invitational IV, Scholars Bowl tournament using NAQT IS-176-A

Time: Registration starts at 8:00 AM in the Itawamba commons until 8:30
Coaches meeting at 8:40 in alumni room; Competition starts at 8:50
Competition: Each team will play in 5 rounds before lunch. Then, all teams will be seeded to play similarly skilled teams after lunch for 2-3 more rounds. Total number of rounds will be determined by the number of team entries. Middle school teams/JV teams will play a modified round-robin. This tournament is a national qualifier for NAQT and PACE (gold-level tournament). All stats will be kept and submitted to NAQT thus we will follow standard NAQT rules with 2 halves of 10 toss-ups and bonuses.
*Tournament is currently capped at 16 HS teams and 8 JV teams. (will expand as resources become available)
Deadline: Applications will be accepted from August 24th to Sept. 19th or until the tournament is filled. Teams will then be placed on a waiting list.

Cost: $65 for the 1st team; $50 for 2nd and following teams; $5 discount for buzzers brought to competition (max of 2 discounts given); $10 discount for distance driven (100 miles per Google maps) (max of 1 distance discount). MINIMUM of $50 per team
Lunch: Pizza and drinks will be sold at lunch for $5 per person (2 slices of pizza and a canned drink/water bottle) to expedite game play after lunch. Snacks will be sold throughout the day at $1 (candy bars, chips, etc) as well as drinks at $1 (water, canned sodas).
Hospitality Room: Coaches and adult chaperones will have access to the hospitality room where coffee, water, sodas, and snacks will be available during the competition
