5/18 Raider Pre-Nationals Tournament at WSU

Now that we have the rooms officially confirmed by the university, the Wright State Quizbowl team would like to announcement the Raider Pre-Nationals Tournament, which will be run on May 18th using the Prison Bowl set. The tournament will be held with NAQT rules with 15 point powers and -5 point negs. Rosters can include up to 6 people per team, with only 4 playing at one time.

REGISTRATION:
To register for this tournament, please email me, TD NourEddine Hijazi, at [email protected]. Be sure to include number of teams and any applicable deductions. Please inform as soon as possible if you sure that you will not be bringing the same number of teams specified in the initial registration. Feel free to direct any other questions to that email address.

COST and DEDUCTIONS:
First team: $65
Second team and onward: $55
Buzzers: -$5
Staffer (please email me with the name of the staffer beforehand): -$10
Every 200 miles traveled one way (as per Google Maps): -$5

LOCATION: The tournament will be held in Oelman Hall on the first and third floors. Check-in will begin at 8:00 AM.

There will be no lunch provided, but some conveniently located restaurants include Chipotle and DiBella's on Zink Road, as well as McDonald's, Wendy's, Arby's, and Taco Bell on Colonel Glenn Hwy. The school cafeteria connected to Allyn Hall will also be open.

PRELIM & PLAYOFF STRUCTURE:
Our field cap is at 18 teams, so ideally, there will be prelim and playoff brackets which offer a similar amount of games in each, with lunch being held after the prelims. Nonetheless, we will be offering 10 rounds of play, but no more than 12. There will be book prizes for the top 10 individual scorers of the prelims.
