11/7 Culver (IN) Kick-off and Novice Tournaments

The Third Annual Culver Kick-off Tournament and First Annual Culver Novice Tournament will be held on November 7, 2009. These two tournaments are aimed at two distinct audiences:

The Novice Tournament will be open to any freshmen, sophomores, and new juniors who will not play on your Varsity A team this year.

The Kickoff tournament will have no restrictions on who can play in it. This tournament will use NAQT IS86.

Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of seven games, with round robins being held in the morning and playoff round robins being held in the afternoon. The Registration Fee is $50 per team, with a discount of $10 available if you bring a buzzer system, a $10 discount/team if your school is more than 100 mi from Culver, and a $10 discount per novice team. Culver is located one hour South of South Bend, approximately two hours from Chicago and four hours from Detroit.

To guarantee your spots, please e-mail Phil Blessman at blessmp [at]culver [dot] org by October 30, indicating the number of varsity and/or novice teams you would like to bring. I am sending out a second call to see whether there are additional teams interested in our two tournaments on Nov. 7. Currently I have heard back from North White (three teams), St. Joe's (two teams), Culver Academies (four teams), and Homewood Flossmoor (IL) (two teams). Please let me know if you'd like to participate!
