Postponed**DAR High Winter Invitational Year 2 Feb 13, 2010

Dear Coaches,

I am pleased to announce the 2nd Annual DAR High School Winter Invitational will be held on February 13, 2010 with registration set to begin at 8:30 am and play being promptly at 9 am. Base registration fee for the tournament will be 65 dollars with a discount of $5 for working buzzers, $5 for each team after the first team, and $10 dollars off for teams that travel more than 200 miles.
The DAR Invitational will be a NAQT (National Academic Quiz Tournaments) national qualification event using NAQT IS-92 set of questions. All rules for official NAQT tournaments will be followed except each individual match will not be timed. Full rules can be found at http://www.naqt.com/rules.html . There will be trophies given for the top three teams in each division and awards for the top 3 individual high scores for the tournament in both the varsity and junior varsity divisions. We will only have a separate junior varsity division if we have more than 5 teams in the division.
Playoff qualification will be given out at the coach's meeting prior to the start of the playoff but junior varsity teams will be included in the playoff to allow them to qualify for the play at both the NAQT National Championship tournament later this year in Chicago. You will be allowed to substitute between matches and at half-time of each match. If you have question or need directions, please call me or email me.
