IHBB U.A.E. Report

Post by Great Bustard »

Dubai College A defeated the Abu Dhabi Homeschool Association 380-150 in the final match today to win the inaugural History Bowl of The United Arab Emirates. 6 teams competed and a good time was had by all (the other school was al-Bateen Secondary School of Abu Dhabi). Angus Thompson, Ryan Evans, and Tom Cleere, all of Dubai College, took the middle, JV, and Varsity Bee titles respectively. Next Saturday we'll be in Sri Lanka, followed by Beijing, Hong Kong (where we already have 11 teams signed up), and Shanghai in February, followed by another 6 or so Asian tournaments and 6-8 European tournaments in March and April. We are meeting with numerous schools in conjunction with running our tournaments and if anyone has advice for where foreign students should turn when they want other opportunities to compete, let me know so I can pass the word along.
