Northern NJ History Bee and Bowl - Nov. 15

Post by Great Bustard »

NHBB's Northern New Jersey History Bee and Bowl has traditionally been one of our best attended events, and this year is no different. 51 teams (34 Varsity, 17 JV) are squaring off on Saturday at Seton Hall University. Good luck to all attending, and feel free to comment on this event here. If you wish to start a comment thread on any other NHBB tournament, please start another thread in this forum.

Congratulations to Team Millenium Falcon A (Shravan Balaji playing solo) and High Tech C for winning the 2014 Northern NJ History Bowl in Varsity and JV respectively!
Rohan Kodialam of High Tech won the Varsity Bee and Alex Schmidt of Lehigh Valley Academy won the JV Bee. Thanks very much to Seton Hall for providing the venue space for the competition and for the great arrangements on lunch, as well as to all our volunteers and readers. Feel free to chime in if you had any thoughts on the tournament if you attended. Thanks for coming to those who did!

Hi Ed, the History Bowl site is currently being revamped. If you want, the results can be viewed here.

Hello Dave,

Thanks; is there also a link to the North Jersey Bee? And any prognostication when the revamped site will be finished so that we can see how other teams around the nation have played on each of the Bowl Sets?

Now that we're done with high school level tournaments through January 10 I can finally take some time to finish adding the content to the new site. I suppose the cat's out of the bag so to speak (which is fine, anyway, if people want to check stats), but the official launch of the new website (including the registration function) will happen for certain at some point within the next few weeks. I will be working on it for most of the day Wednesday, for one (still catching up with other stuff tomorrow).
