NHBB is happy to announce that at our 2016 Nationals, the National Sports History Bee and National Entertainment History Bee will run as separate events. Just sign up as usual for the Sports and Entertainment Bee using the standard registration form, and we'll be in touch after you register to ask if you'd prefer competing in Sports or Entertainment (it is not possible to do both as they run concurrently). The registration deadline for the National Sports History Bee and the National Entertainment History Bee will run through Sunday, April 17 at 11:59pm EDT. There will also be a limited number (probably 10-20) spots in each division of the Sports History Bee and Entertainment History Bee that can be signed up for and purchased at Nationals on a first-come first-served basis, but sign up online if you know you'd like to compete! Remember that it is not possible to compete in the Sports or Entertainment Bee if you make the playoffs of the US Geography Olympiad Quiz Bowl tournament. You are obligated to compete in that if your score qualifies for it. However, you can sign up for the Sports History Bee or Entertainment History Bee and then get a refund if you then are unable to compete because you advanced to the USGO Quiz Bowl Playoffs.
Neither the Sports History Bee nor Entertainment History Bee requires prior qualifying, and both are open to any student - you do not need to be participating in other Nationals events to compete in them. Please be sure to register for all events at Nationals via the following link: http://www.historybowl.com/register/reg ... nationals/
Thanks!
