The Early College at Guilford Middle School Tournament

The Early College at Guilford is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Middle School Tournament on April 9th, 2011. There is no limit to the number of teams that one school may enter. This tournament is open only to teams from Middle Schools/Junior High Schools, and we would like to restrict to North Carolina teams for the time being.

The tournament will use the Collaborative Middle School Tournament (Set 2), a set written especially for middle school students. For more information on the questions, go here:

Field update for The Early College at Guilford Middle School Tournament:

Kiser Middle School (one team, Greensboro NC)
The Academy at Lincoln (two teams, Greensboro NC)
Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (four teams, Mooresboro NC)
Kernodle Middle School (two teams, Greensboro NC)
Northwest Guilford Middle School (one team, Greensboro NC)

Due to staffing, space and equipment limitations, we will have to limit the field to those ten teams for the time being. If you would like to join this tournament, please e-mail me by March 25th at ECGQUIZBOWL @ GMAIL . COM, and we will put you on the wait list. We may be able to work something out, but not after that date.

We had been expecting a very modest tournament of ~6 teams but are very excited to have 10 teams signed up and look forward to a great tournament! Please contact me at the above e-mail for further questions.

Congratulations to Lincoln B who won the tournament by going through the round-robin undefeated! Thomas Jefferson A finished in second place. Thank you to all who came out!
