The Quizbowl Resource Center

Play Quiz Bowl LLC is excited to announce the production of Super ACRONYM Turbo Championship Edition, a hard trash tournament. It will include both tossups and bonuses and be ready for mirrors at some point in the summer of 2017. My intention is to have this ready to be played alongside whatever the "second summer open/side event weekend" ends up being. It will be written largely (perhaps entirely) by me (though if you want to write for this and be paid to do so, please let me know). The difficulty will be similar to the theme packets I've written for previous Festivii and other things.

The distribution will be the same as ACRONYM X:

4/4 TV
4/4 Movies
4/4 Music (split somewhat evenly between pop, rock, r&b/rap, and "not those")
4/4 Sports (a bit under 1/1 of the "big 3" sports, with other sports filling out the rest)
1.5/1.5 Games (mostly video but some not)
1/1 Trash Lit/Comics
1.5/1.5 Multi-discipline/Weird things/"trash news" type stuff

Quick update on this tournament - the writing for this has started, and it will definitely be ready for the "Side Event Weekend" or whatever that ends up being. If you want to run this around that time or in the fall, hit me up.

If this isn't during my move to Charlottesville, I will totally read for this.

I am not opposed to a Skype mirror at some point, though I'm hoping to schedule some additional local mirrors before scheduling anything online.

On that note - this set is done, and I'm quite happy with it. If you want to run it yet this summer (or even in the fall), hit me up.
