FIFAS Annoucement

Postby anthonywang1999 » Thu Aug 10, 2017 3:48 pm

In light of the upcoming 2018 Fifa World Cup, the Footy Freaks 2.0 team consisting of Anthony Wang (myself), Pratik Mishra, Montagu James, Yared Tadesse, Nirmal Prakash, Peter Torres, and Nick Rommel are proud to announce the production of the Football Is Forking Awesome Set (FIFAS). The set will be finished and read before the start of the 2018 World Cup (June 14, 2018), more details to come. We plan to have 10 packets, each with 20 power marked questions + respective 3 part bonuses. Tossups should all be around 6 to 7 lines in 12 point Times New Roman and the bonuses will not exceed 8 lines total.

The Distribution of the Set will generally be as follows (crossover’s + may vary slightly):

    9 International Soccer
      3 World Cup
      3 Euros
      3 Others
    9 Club
      3 EPL
      1 La Liga
      1 Bundesliga
      1 Ligue 1
      1 Serie A
      2 Others
    2 Soccer History
      1 Players
      1 Events
1 Soccer "Moment"
1 Misc

We plan to host a side event at either 2018 HSNCT or PACE, perhaps even both. Likely to have online readings as well. The set can be played for free of charge at all mirrors.

Also Shoutout to the “we are better than /a/” group, writing the WEEABOOS set, for usage of its announcement template.

2 Soccer History

Does this mean that the other 18/18 will all be current, with nothing historical?

There will be a mix of current and historical questions/facts, just 2 specific questions set aside for history.
