The Quizbowl Resource Center

In light of the upcoming 2018 Fifa World Cup, the Footy Freaks 2.0 team consisting of Anthony Wang (myself), Ayush Parikh, Pratik Mishra, Montagu James, Yared Tadesse, Nirmal Prakash, Peter Torres, and Nick Rommel are proud to announce the production of the Football Is Forking Awesome Set (FIFAS). The set will be finished and read before the start of the 2018 World Cup (June 14, 2018), more details to come. We plan to have 10 packets, each with 20 power marked questions + respective 3 part bonuses. Tossups should all be around 6 to 7 lines in 12 point Times New Roman and the bonuses will not exceed 8 lines total.

The Distribution of the Set will generally be as follows (crossover’s + may vary slightly):

We plan to host a side event at either 2018 HSNCT or PACE, perhaps even both. Likely to have online readings as well. The set can be played for free of charge at all mirrors.

There will be a mix of current and historical questions/facts, just 2 specific questions set aside for history.

Yeah, we are a bit behind in the writing but we do plan to at least have a packet or two written by June.

Do you plan on writing all 10 packets eventually, or will the tournament be shorter?

Will this be hosted as a side event at HSNCT? This would be possibly my favorite event of all time.

Someday, I may be disciplined enough to produce a soccer history set. But that day is not today.
