Varsity:

1. Richard Montgomery A
2. Georgetown Day
3. Kellenberg A
4. Henderson
5. Saint Joes A
6. Quince Orchard

These teams from the top 12 did not play a crossover match:

tie 7th: Mount Pleasant A and Wissahickon
tie 9th: Caesar Rodney B and Moravian
tie 11th: Caesar Rodney A and Blake

Statistics through round 5

Statistics rounds 6 through 11

Everything together

JV:

1. Richard Montgomery B
2. Robinson
3. Archmere
4. Longfellow

Statistics through round 7

Statistics through round 9

If there are mistakes (and I'm sure there are, but hopefully not with records) we may need to wait until after break to fix them. The scoresheets were left at the school.

It seems like "Statistics through Round 11" is only the playoffs and not combined. Is this intentional?

This was a fun day.

Just for clarification, our "E" team was a scab team, technically comprised of two kids from CR (Antonio and Fred) and a kid from Robinson (Alex) who was quite awesome. I was happy that they got to be on a team that played well.

The brackets were a little funky but that happens with so many teams that don't play much (or haven't played any yet) in a year.

We don't like NAQT questions much i guess (note our A Team's performance), and even with an almost entirely new A Team from years past, just continue to suck on questions not in mACF format. Oh well.

Glad i could help out moderating again, though.

Do we have plans for Delaware NAQT States, by the way?

The score in the Kellenberg A v. Mt. Pleasant A in the Prelims is wrong.

The score was Kellenberg A 340 v. Mt. Pleasant A 245
Line Scores
Kellenberg
Nik 2 4 2 for 60 pts.
John 1 2 1 for 30
Joe 0 1 0 for 10
Mike 0 0 0
10 TU's, 240 bonus pts for 24.00 ppb

Mt. Pleasant A
Them (I didn't keep individuals) 2 7 3 for 85 pts
9 TU's, 160 bonus pts for 17.78 ppb

Thanks. It was a great day of competition and a very well run tourney.

Happy Holidays!

Saint Joe's had a great time and also avoided a small crisis post tournament due to a dead battery, but thanks to the resourcefulness and help of Joe Brosch and the kindnesses of his mother Faith, as well as the help of Dave Madden and Mr. Tressler, this turned into a mini-adventure instead, so thanks to all who helped, especially the Brosch family. Many, many thanks!!!!!!!!!

Thanks also to all at Charter who helped make this a very enjoyable tournament.

And congrats to Richard Montgomery, GDS, Kellenberg, Henderson and Quince Orchard for their excellent play throughout the day.

Happy holidays to all.

Howard 80 beat Kellenberg B 65
Line Scores
Kellenberg B
Gabe 0 1 0 10 pts
Ryan 0 1 0 10 pts
Sean 0 2 1 15 pts
4 TU's, 30 bonus pts for 7.50 ppb
Howard
Them 0 6 2 for 50 pts
6 TU's, 30 bonus pts for 5.00 ppb

Thanks again!

Thanks to everyone at Charter for making this a fun tournament. We had a lot of great readers, and everything was run smoothly the whole day. Overall, it was awesome, and we had a great time. Happy holidays to everyone!

There are a few corrections, which are pretty minor:
In our 5th round game against Concord, we won 490-50, with 6 powers, 9 tossups, and 310 points on bonuses.
I'm pretty sure we had 90 points on bonuses in our game against St. Joe's A, for a final score of 165-370, instead of 105-370.
I'm also not sure why we got 135 and 245 on bonuses in our games against Moravian and Caesar Rodney A, respectively, when we didn't get any 5/5 bonuses. I didn't keep exact scores of our games, but there seem to be individual score mix-ups in the above-mentioned games as well, as well as in our games against Blake and Henderson. All of the records are still fine, but it would be nice if you could fix these after break, since I'm pretty sure we had over 18 ppb in total, which doesn't exactly show on the results (and of course, this is just for our self-image  ).

I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone that attended this tournmanet. I had a great time hosting it as well as reading for some of the best teams in the Mid-Atlantic. Along with this I would like to especially thank Tressler as well as Dave Madden and Mr. Brown who gave up their Saturday to help us run this tournament.

I'm going to have to agree with other people that I talked in regards to the questions. I do feel that they were in fact a bit sub par and not as refined as they could have been.

If there are anymore corrections that need to be made please feel free to let me know. I'm. Not sure if they can be corrected fully until we return to school after the first of the year.

I think what happened here was the data entry person put in the scores from the tossup boxes. We do appreciate when moderators total the tossups for each player. But I was thinking about taking a marker and crossing out the box that lets them calculate the total team tossup points for this very reason.

I have fixed these in the file that went to NAQT.
I'm also not sure why we got 135 and 245 on bonuses in our games against Moravian and Caesar Rodney A, respectively, when we didn't get any 5/5 bonuses.
Most likely, the wrong number of power tossups or negs has been assigned.

Moderators may or may not appreciate it, but you could always ask to see the box they fill out at the top before they turn the scoresheets in. We are looking at those boxes for SQBS.

There's plenty of sources of error, trust me. The CMU "Z" team was once a man short at a trash tournament, so we put a "Harem Xena" action doll in the fourth chair and told moderators to put her on the scoresheet. When the results were posted -- she had points.

This is true, but given the almost-guaranteed lack of bonuses involving 5 or 15pt parts, that should serve as a check.

Scorekeepers should check their math and counting before turning in a scoresheet, lest they feel the wrath of the statkeeper

Actually I do remember there being multiple bonuses where you could receive five points: very odd.

Concur. On almost every scoresheet, there is a box for "total tossup points" and a box for "total bonus points". Scorekeepers should be filling those boxes out* and adding them to check that the sum is equal to the running score. When it doesn't, it almost always means you forgot to include a -5 in the running score, or you made an addition mistake somewhere. If you find the error while in the room with both teams, it's a lot easier to resolve than if you find the error in the tab room.

*-Of course, a pre-requisite to filling these out is filling out the line score (P-T-N) for each player. ALWAYS DO THAT. You are not done with your scoresheet and should not give it to the statistician if that section is blank.
