Southeast Texas Academic Challenge (Houston) 1/22/2011

Post by scottsmith81 »

We will be conducting three tournaments in Texas this school year (2010-11). We would like to invite your school to join us. We'll be offering high school varsity, middle school, and high school JV divisions in Dallas and Houston. The El Paso tournament will feature only a high school varsity division.

Thanks to a grant from GE Oil & Gas, we're able to lower the entry fee this year. We will also give a modest travel stipend to the Dallas & El Paso Varsity winners so we can have a playoff in Houston and crown a state champion (with the same "final four" tournament structure in Houston that we use in Chicago at Nationals). Once we crown a Texas State Champ (Varsity Div.), that team will have earned free entry to the 2011 National Academic Championship.

Here are the details about the Southeast Texas Academic Challenge.

Date: Jan. 22, 2011. Games start at 9 a.m., est. finish time is 5:30.

Place: THE JOHN COOPER SCHOOL
ONE JOHN COOPER DR.

Deadline: Payment must be received by Jan. 10, 2011. A school that has not paid in full before the competition starts will not be allowed to play.
