Rube Goldberg VIII at Michigan State (02/12/11)

Michigan State University’s Academic Competition Club is proud to announce its eighth annual Rube Goldberg Invitational, scheduled for February 12, 2011.

This tournament will be using NAQT invitational set IS-102 and will follow untimed NAQT rules. It will consist of a divisional round robin, followed by a re-bracketed round robin for playoffs, and each team can expect to play approximately 10 games. The field cap has yet to be determined and will be based on the number of staffers we have available. Teams should plan on arriving by 8:45 that morning, as we want to start matches by 9:00.

Tournament Fees:
First Team: $70
Subsequent teams: $60
Working Buzzer set: -$10 per functional set
Distance Discount: -$10 per 100 miles (1-way), by Google Maps
Minimum per team: $30

Last time I checked, stats were over 95% complete, and the only unaccounted for score-sheet had been recovered, so stat posting is imminent.

I'd like to thank Chris Heffner for running this whole thing successfully. Everyone got to play 10 rounds of quizbowl, and get out the door by 5 PM, despite a delay for no-shows and extra long lunch break.

Whoever put up the stats messed up.
Huron(New Boston) was put in the Noon Witch bracket and Ionia A was put in the Golden Spinning Wheel.
this was supposed to be the opposite because i go to carson and we played huron but not Ionia A
