LIST mirror at UCLA (WIST) - 5/14 (Cancelled)

The UCLA College Bowl Club is pleased to announce it will be hosting the LIST Mirror West (WIST) on May 14, 2011. Our aim is to provide a cheap warmup for nationals tournaments on this roundly-praised set, for which information can be found at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10954.

DATE: Saturday, May 14, 2011. Apologies for the short notice. The date is not particularly negotiable unless some critical issue arises.

PARKING: Parking is $10 at various lots throughout the UCLA campus. Enterprising individuals may be able to find cheaper parking on various nearby streets.

VENUE: UCLA's campus. Precise rooms will be announced once they have been determined.

SCHEDULE:
815-845: Registration. Please be at the tournament location at 8:30.
9:00 A.M.: Tournament begins.
Circa 1:00 P.M.: Lunch
2:00 P.M.: Afternoon play resumes.
The tournament should finish by 5/5:30.

FOOD:
Breakfast: Some bagels and juice will be available.

Lunch: Lunch is available on-campus. Hours of Operation vary for each dining option, but Ackerman Union is open during the weekend.

ELIGIBILITY: All high school teams are eligible.

FORMAT: Twenty tossup-bonus cycles, sudden death tiebreakers.

PRICING STRUCTURE:
Team Discounts
Base fee = $55 per team
-$5 for a fully-functional buzzer system (Must have four working buzzers on both sides)
-$10 for a moderator. For this discount to apply, teams must mention the provision of said staff well in advance and have their offer accepted by the TD. There exists the possibility that no outside staff will be required.

The field will be capped at 16 teams unless there is massive demand. If so, we will likely make an appeal for additional staff in this thread.

WARNING! If you cannot have payment by tournament date, please contact the TD with at least 24 hours notice. We can work it out, but we'd rather not have any surprises. Tournament play will not begin until all fees are paid or accounted for.

Checks should be made out to "College Bowl Club of UCLA". Please do NOT change this wording. For reasons of financial security, if possible, please bring the check to the tournament rather than mailing it in advance.

REGISTRATION:
The TD for this tournament is Mik Larsen . The current registration deadline is Wednesday, May 11.

1) Your school's name
2) Coach (or adult representative) name, e-mail address, and a contact phone number.
3) The number of teams you are bringing
4) The number of buzzer systems and any other discounts you wish to validate
