Any events near Baltimore/DC on 1/29, 2/12, or 2/26/05?

As our originally planned date for a tournament, 4/23/05, has been taken by Richard Montgomery, Howard High School (Ellicott City, MD) would like to know whether anyone in the area is planning an event on 1/29/05, 2/12/05, or 2/26/05. Please respond here if you have already set such a date for your event and you think it will conflict with ours.

Not certain about it, but my calendar has UVA's Cavalier Open on 2/26. Someone from there could verify that. I seem to recall sending teams to your tournament and the Cav Open on the same day last year, so that might not be a problem for you.

yes, the cavalier open will be held on 2/26.

i believe i remember the folks from richard montgomery sending a team to the cav classic and a team to another area in Maryland (may have been Howard). I know we'll be trying to make it a big pre-Nationals tournament drawing from a lot of different schools again this year, so with any luck we'll be drawing from DC/MD.

Yeah, that was us. Although there isn't a large degree of overlap, I'd prefer not to conflict with UVA at all. Hopefully one of the other dates proves better.

FYI -- The VHSL State tournament is on 26 February. While that wouldn't be a problem for MD teams scheduling a tournament then might depress turnout somewhat among VA teams.

I've already selected 1/29 for the Siesta Bowl. I know of nothing conflicting on that date, and my apologies if there is such a conflict.
