May 5 High School Tournament at University of Washington

The Quizbowl Team at the University of Washington is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a high school tournament on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. This tournament is open to all high schools in Washington. Teams do not need to qualify separately for this tournament. Schools are free to send as many teams as they'd like to this tournament (where teams of up to 4 students play against each other).

This tournament will use the BHSAT set, which was produced by the Yale University Quizbowl team.

PRICING:

$45 - Base fee per team
-$5 - Discount for each additional team
-$5 - Buzzer discount per school
-$10 - Travel discount per team for traveling over 100 miles one way or taking a ferry

Minimum fee per team: $25

To register, please contact me, Joelle Smart, at joellesmart@yahoo.com. Let me know the name of your school and how many teams you're bringing.

LOGISTICS:

The tournament will take place in Denny Hall at the University of Washington. Registration will be from 9:00-9:30 AM. You can park in Lot N5 or N1 for $5 on Saturday. We expect that the tournament will finish around 3 to 4 PM, but we encourage teams not to make any plans that require you to leave the tournament before 5 PM in case there are unexpected delays.
