LIST III is looking for mirrors!
Posted: Mon Jul 30, 2012 12:36 pm
This year's iteration of the Ladue Invitational Spring Tournament is again looking for mirrors nationwide! It will be written by the Ladue team, and head-edited by Jialin Ding, Haohang Xu, and myself (Max Schindler). We will offer 16 packets for the low price of $10 per team attending! The set will be available for mirroring starting January 19, 2013, and we're open to any mirrors after that for the duration of the school year (and into summer, I guess).
The details of last year's set can be found here and the set itself can be downloaded here.
SET DETAILS:
The set will be very similar to last year in style, though with a wee bit shorter of tossups on average, and in difficulty, meaning it will be suitable for all levels of teams in attendance (last year, only 4 of the nearly 100 teams nationwide to play the set had less than 10 ppb, and top teams were still distinguished between very well by the tossups whenever they played). Each packet will consist of 22 pyramidal tossups and 3-part bonuses, distributed as follows:
4 History
4 Literature
4 Science
2 Religion & Mythology
1 Math (Non-computational)
0.5 Philosophy (1 tossup or 1 bonus per round)
0.5 Social Science (1 tossup or 1 bonus per round)
1 Art
1 Music
1 Geography
1 Current Events
1 Trash (Pop Culture and Sports)
1 Extra
MIRRORING:
We would love for every circuit to have a mirror of LIST this year. Mirrors have been lined up so far at VCU and in Texas (and of course the main site in St. Louis); if you want a mirror in your area, even if you don't have an exact date firmed up, let me know sooner rather than later! If you're at all interested in mirroring, or have any questions whatsoever, just shoot me an email at [email protected]
