The University of Kentucky will be hosting our Fall Championship on November 22nd, 2014.

Blacksburg High School will host the Blacksburg High Academic Invitational III on Saturday January 17, 2015. Details will become more available this fall.

Blair would like to tentatively claim March 21, 2015 for a tournament on a regular-difficulty NAQT set.

I'll maintain a calendar this year, I guess. For now, let me see if I can use my mod powers to split the new claims from the 2013-2014 thread into this one to avoid chaos and confusion. Ok, well, it ended up a little chaotic, but now 2014-2015 is distinct from 2013-2014. I have borrowed Grace's calendar from the New England thread.

UVa will host an IS set tentatively on November 15th.

The Charter School of Wilmington will tentatively set a date of October 18th, 2014 for our annual Charter School of Wilmington Invitational Fall Tournament (CSWIFT). This will be a great opportunity for teams from the DC metro area to play teams from the greater NJ area.

EDIT: Oh and I should mention we plan to run it on an IS set for our varsity field, and on an A set for our JV field.

VCU would like to claim October 11th, December 6th, and April 25th. Thank you!

VHSL States is 2/28, Region deadline is 2/14, and conference deadline is 1/31. The regional and conference tourneys are scheduled independently and must be completed by the deadline dates.

You guys should consider bidding to host MD NAQT States, since you want to run an IS set and VA States has been on this date for the past several years (the States set is free, which can make up for not being able to draw out-of-state teams).

Delaware would like to tentatively claim March 14th for Blue Hen XVII on an IS set. We are still deciding on whether our Fall Tournament will be for Middle School or High School this year, stay tuned.

NHBB is on April 25th, so the VCU Season Finale has been tentatively moved to Saturday, April 11th.

Centennial High School of Ellicott City, MD would like to claim SUNDAY, November 9, 2014 for the Centennial Invitational Tournament, based on an NAQT "A" set.

We will definitely consider putting in a bid. Does anyone know what the normal timeframe is for the bid process (i.e. when it is likely to open)?

Last year we posted the state championship host call in early July and had a November 1st deadline for the first round of bids. This year should have a similar timeline.

New Kent would like to claim 10/4/14 for our New Kent Fall Kickoff (NAQT-A set), 11/1/14 for our New Kent Novice (SCOP-5) and 1/10/15 for MRI-3.

UMD is claiming 9/20 for our fall tournament. We are most likely using the first IS set (138).

Calendar is updated through this morning; it's unclear whether I'll have internet access from a computer (as opposed to just my phone, on which it is hard to edit posts) again until Saturday evening.

GDS would like to tentatively claim November 8th for our tournament to be named later on HSAPQ questions.

Maggie Walker would like to claim Saturday, December 13 for GSAC XXII.

Eleanor Roosevelt is planning on holding a tournament on September 27th. Details are forthcomming, we will post them here once question sets have been verified.

University of Delaware will now be doing a SCOP mirror on November 1st. This event will primarily be aimed at new school outreach for teams in the Philadelphia area, but all are always welcome!

NHBB would like to claim March 7 as its DC Metro Championships date (NHBB A Set) at Centennial in Ellicott City, MD, as well as Nov. 22 and Jan. 19 (the latter being MLK Day) for C Set and B Set in the DC area. We need to get hosts lined up for those, but with the calendar being already pretty crowded, I'd prefer to reserve those dates now, and then touch base by mid-September regarding where they'll be. Dates are subject to change, and Centennial needs to confirm with their administration too, but these should hopefully all be ok.
Other area tournaments that need to get set are Eastern Virginia, Western Virginia, Delaware, and area USHB/USGO site(s). Raynell or I will update here as dates get scheduled on a rolling basis.

This tournament will actually be run on BHSAT. If it does end up conflicting with one or both of MD and VA States, we'll try to move to another spring date.

Cave Spring would like to host a fall tournament (CSI) on November 22nd and the spring tournament (NCIS) on February 21st. One tournament will be a non-housewrite and the other is our own. We're not sure which is which but I think we're leaning towards the spring tournament being our housewrite... but that could change.

The ER tournament will be mirroring the FKT 2014. Sorry for the late notice but we hope many teams will still be able to come.

I've tried to update the calendar with links to the tournaments that have been announced so far; let me know if I missed yours!

Due to being unable to host CSWIFT on October 18th, Charter would like to claim January 24th as its new date.

Virginia tech claims 10/25 for SCOP Novice.

RM claims March 28 for the main site of our housewrite, HERMES.

The Blacksburg High Academic Invitational III previously announced for 1/17/14 will be a mirror of the Potatoville Varsity set.

Due to conflicts, GDS will be unable to host on November 8th. The new date of our tournament will be February 7th.

TJ would like to claim 2/14 for hosting a mirror of HFT.

NHBB will run its Eastern Virginia tournament at New Kent on 2/14. This will run on B Set. We also anticipate running B Set at Liberty High School in Maryland - still finalizing that date (halfway between Baltimore and the PA border). Apologies for the overlap with the TJ tournament, but the area calendar is quite crowded and this is the date that worked best for New Kent.

The 2015 Northern Virginia History Bee and Bowl on B Set will be held at Mount Vernon High School on Alexandria on Monday, Jan. 19 (Martin Luther King Day). We are still looking to possibly hold a Maryland tournament (Liberty High School has expressed interest in hosting), but this way, we can have a 3rd confirmed site in the area. I'll check back with Liberty and see if that will happen. If they're not interested, then I'm not going to press too hard to get a Maryland tournament on top of the 1/19 date, but if someone comes forth between now and the December break (if Liberty is unable to host), then we can roll with it. If anyone is interested in hosting said event, drop me a line.

Due to an unforeseen conflict with VHSL, TJ will move its as-yet unnamed hosting tournament from February 14 to April 18, 2015.

Blacksburg HS is officially moving the Blacksburg High Academic Invitational III to Saturday March 14 to allow for better advertising for our upcoming tournament. We are still mirroring this spring's Potatoville Varsity set. This is the March SAT date, so teams who want to compete in Blacksburg this spring should be aware of that before registering.

Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, will be running VTACO on 1/31.

Western Albemarle High School is running a tournament on March 7th. More details will be posted once more details are gathered!

Anyone planning to play the NHBB C set at James River HS this Monday should register through the NHBB website. The tournament needs to have some formal registrations in hand to move forward. Thanks.

The HSAPQ DC state tournament will be Sunday, February 1st at St. Anselm's.

For Maryland, the state tournament will be Sunday, March 1 at UMCP. Regionals will be Saturday, January 31 at Perry Hall, Centennial, and UMCP.
