SCOP Novice at Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech is pleased to announce its mirror of SCOP Novice 5 on October 25, 2014. It will be held on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA. For more information about the packet set in use, see the forum post here:

Registration:
To register your team(s) for this tournament, please e-mail Michael Chuber at (jmchuber (at) vt (dot) edu) and include “SCOP Novice Registration” in the subject line.

Entry Fees:
The entry fees for this team are as follows:
$60 for the first team registered.
$50 for each subsequent team.
-$5 per working buzzer set.
-$10 per competent staffer (Lunch will also be provided to staff).
-$10 for teams that travel more than 200 miles (as shown on Google Maps).
$25 minimum cost per team.

Checks or cash are accepted forms of payment. We cannot accept credit cards. Please make checks payable to "Academic Competition Organization at Virginia Tech."

Are you using a particular set of eligibility restrictions for this tournament? If so, could you publish them here so I know who is eligible to play for us and who is not eligible to play.

Our only eligibility restriction is that no player who has competed at the PACE NSC or NAQT HSNCT may play without prior approval by the Tournament Director. Beyond that, we ask that coaches and players use their best discretion.

As a reminder, you are not registered officially unless you've emailed the tournament director (email in the original announcement).
