The site frontpage

The site frontpage will now be an updated version of the DB. The blog will remain as a subsidiary feature.

In the long term, I want people to be able to quickly find tournaments in their area without having to search for threads on the forums. This is not to discourage anyone from using the forums, but simply to acknowledge that quizbowl is ready to move to a level where "less active" people who are not as concerned about goings-on in other states also need to be served by the resources we have here.

Please continue to list your events on the front page. The best thing you can do to help outreach is to make sure ALL events in your state are listed -- feel free to list an event you are not running. And make sure to direct new people to the front page of the site so they can quickly find nearby tournaments.

Please do not create duplicate entries to post stats. If someone else on your team (or a person you don't know) created an entry for your tournament and you need to upload stats, just get in touch with any admin and we can change ownership of the tournament. Thanks.
