Great Valley High School (Malvern, PA) is looking at hosting the third annual GVQBT (NAQT A Set) on February 20, 2016.

Great Valley High School will also, assuming approval, host a second annual Middle School Tournament. This is tentatively December 5, 2015.

I will update as I get more information from the school.

We are happy to announce that the former Greater Philadelphia Quizbowl Reasource Blog (https://gpqb.wordpress.com/) will now be covering the entire state of Pennsylvania! If you are in Northern or Western PA, give us a holler!

Penn will claim Nov. 21st for our mirror of CALI (tournament title and post forthcoming). We are aware of both the Nov. 14th tournament at Henderson and the Nov. 21st Bloomfield claim, but Penn Bowl and other scheduling demands limit our availability for any other dates.

We also will host QuAC in its traditional spot of Jan. 30th, likely using GSAC. Again, announcement post to come.

Is St. Joes not running GSAC again this year in New Jersey? Perhaps QuAC should utilize a set that is not yet being run in region such as LIMIT, but if there was some other reasoning behind deciding to potentially use GSAC then it would help to know why.

Just an update regarding NHBB tournaments in the area.

Northern PA is scheduled for November 21st (we feel that there will be very limited conflicts with Penn's tournament on that day)

Western PA is scheduled for January 30th.

Delaware is tentatively scheduled for January 9th.

Southern NJ is tentatively scheduled for December 12th

PA States is scheduled for February 27th.

Western NJ-related information will be coming soon.

CMU will host an as-yet-unnamed tournament (working name is Carnegie Mellon Invitational) on February 20 on IS-152. It is designed as a replacement for the Western PA championships which we hosted the last two years, but will have wider geographic reach.

For those of you in western PA, December 12th is the date for the annual Ohio high school TRASH tournament. The main site is at Olmsted Falls Middle School (its a HS tournament), which is about 10 minutes outside of downtown Cleveland. Greg Bossick is also running a mirror site at East Palestine HS which is about a half hour outside of Youngstown. The main site has attracted between 48-64 teams for the last seven years and we're at about 40 right now. Greg's site has attendance that has varied by year but he also offers an adult division as well. If any of you are free and want information about possibly coming over the border to participate, please shoot me an email at bk31883 at google's email service or for Greg's site, you can reach him at quizboss <at> att <dot> net. Send any questions to my email, as I don't frequent the national boards as much as I used to. The original posting with the information is here:
