Moe's Southwest Grill Burrito Contest (May 21)

Post by Encyclopedia Brown »

If you are in the Richmond area, come out to Moe's Southwest Grill at the The Village Shopping Center on May 21, as the VHSL Central Region Champion Freeman Academic Team attempts to outeat students from nearby St. Christopher's in a battle of guts as opposed to wits.

I haven't the slightest idea. Also, the time for the contest is 11:00 AM. Since the HALO tournament is a dead deal, we will have a few more people eating for us.

St. Chris won in a nail-biter, 73 burritos to 70. Well, they had their football team's starting defensive line in against a bunch of quiz bowlers. They were not the Homewreckers, but were the size of an average egg roll. Their top eater packed away 12 in 5 minutes, and our best was 10. However, I was the only person on either team who threw up after competing. We also have a trophy to place next to our Regional cup (which will go in our case this Thursday). However, I do not condone or recommend competitive eating.
